DOFF and JOS Cleaning

DOFF is a steam-based cleaning system that can achieve temperatures of up to 150°C at the nozzle end – making it a ‘superheated water system.’ The superheated water vapor system effectively removes paint, moss, algae, fungi, biological matter, and kills off spores. No harmful chemicals are used during the cleaning process and after being used outdoors, the debris needs to be separated from the water and disposed of per local regulations. The water, however, simply runs into the ground.

Wickens Dry Ice Blasting uses the DOFF Integra System to clean stonework and masonry using high-temperature steam.

JOS

The JOS-blasting cleaning method is gentle and mild, making it ideal for delicate surfaces such as stone and brick. This low-pressure swirling vortex cleaning system combines the use of water and fine abrasives to create a scrubbing effect with the rotating swivel, resulting in a gentle cleaning with damage to the surface. With this cleaning method, you can reduce costs and preserve substrate integrity.

Wicken Dry Ice Blasting uses this method for masonry cleaning projects.
